The Friends of the Cathedral invite you to discover the treasure of the cathedral in the octagonal tower: admire the goldsmithery of the nineteenth century and the reliquary of Saint-Omer. Upstairs, the old archive room, with the exceptional pavement of the fifteenth century, will be open.

Unique(Only) Gothic cathedral of the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the cathedral Notre-Dame shelters a rich and various furniture which most objects are listed(classified) or register. The famous picture(board) of Rubens representing the descent from the cross is a very beautiful example. Having considered as the most beautiful medieval church of the region, it was at the origin based(established) by Omer in the 7éme century then promoted cathedral in 1561 further to the destruction of Thérouanne by Charles the Fifth.
