The parish church Saint-Peter in Novy-Chevrières is one of the parts(parties) remaining of the abbey of 17th - 18th centuries rebuilt by the monks Benedictines of the abbey Saint gate(crack) of Verdun. The abbey was deleted(eliminated) in Revolution and the conventual buildings(ships) served as career(quarry). The current church was built in 1698 and dedicated by a bishop as testify it commemorative plaques placed indoors.
