Meeting «How to recreate a Renaissance costume? By Anaïs Mérat, costume designer»

European Heritage Days 2023
Domingo 17 septiembre 2023, 14:00Passed
Anaïs Mérat

Passionate since her childhood by artistic practices, sewing, history and the discovery of heritage, Anaïs Mérat has guided her entire school career to combine these fields and make it her profession today. We all need dreams and imaginations. This is what allows us to access the costume by dressing characters from historical or fantastic worlds. This is why, since 2019, Anaïs Mérat is a craftsman of art to put the costume at the service of all dreams. She designs and creates custom costumes for historic and fantastic heritage places, for lovers of historical re-enactment and for the show. Exceptionally, two costumes made by Anaïs Mérat are presented all weekend in front of the Renaissance sculptures, allowing us to imagine the richness of the fabrics and the shimmering colors of these sculptures if they took life!
