Discover the exhibition "Jacques Simon, Master of light"
It is a beautiful tribute to the Simon-Marq dynasty, and to Jacques Simon in particular, that this exhibition presented in the Gothic room of the museum-hotel Le Vergeur – Maison Hugues Krafft.
Since 1640, the Simon-Marq dynasty has been part of the Reims heritage. Jacques Simon (1890-1974) was one of its members. His grandchildren, Benoît, master glassmaker himself, and Charlotte Marq donated a significant number of paintings and stained glass windows illustrating the life of the workshop in the 20th century to the Musée des Beaux-Arts in 2020 and 2021.
The work of their grandfather, Jacques Simon, is thus evoked through the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Reims and three works lent by the City of stained glass of Troyes. This exhibition gives a taste of the exceptional pieces that will be presented in the renovated Museum of Fine Arts.
To see until October 1, 2023.
