On the occasion of the 170 years of the Veolia group in 2023, these days will be an opportunity for visitors to access a public heritage, which belongs to them and in front of which they sometimes spend daily, but whose existence, history, role they often ignore. On the selected sites, historical friezes will introduce the visits to reposition them in a long history for Veolia, since 1853!
Come and discover the wastewater treatment stages of the Châlons-en-Champagne wastewater treatment plant: an essential installation for the preservation of the environment! Shower, dishes, flushing… so many daily actions that require water. Once used, this dirty water, called wastewater, is sent to the Châlons-en-Champagne treatment plant to be cleaned through various stages that allow it to be transformed into clean water, before being returned to nature!
A pot of friendship will then be organized around 11:30-12h.
