The castle of Cornusse, feudal residence restored at the end of the nineteenth century, has long been the summer residence of the archbishops of Bourges until they transfer it (in the eighteenth century) to the castle of Turly. On one of the castle’s ornamental chimneys are the arms of Jean Cœur, archbishop of Bourges in the 15th century and son of the Grand Argentier. Owned at the beginning of the 3rd Republic of the Triboudet sisters of Maimbray, the castle passed to Henri Martin-Zédé at the end of the 19th century. The latter, an engineer of Parisian origin, was the brother of Georges Martin-Zédé, a lawyer and industrialist who made his fortune alongside the chocolatier Menier.
