The Maison des Musées is a new hybrid space that accompanies the project to redesign the Bourges museum offering.
It combines the discovery of the richness of the collections, through thematic presentations of works from the reserves, currently on music; the highlighting of the history of the museums of Bourges and the evolution of the project of new museum center; as well as explanations on museum professions.
These various aspects will be addressed by mediators, according to the desires and requests of the public.

Old(Former) archiepiscopal palace, built by the Parisian architect Pierre Bullet for the archbishop, at the end of the XVIIth century, stayed incomplete. After construction in 1992 from the current city council, this building always shelters local services(departments), the lounges(shows) of the town hall and the room of recently restored marriages, town council chamber, and Museum of the Best workers of France.
