Religious imagery: the passion of a family from Orléans
In the Saint-Aignan collegiate church located in the historic heart of Orléans, you will travel through 150 years of life of a bookstore in Orléans. You can admire a selection of devotional images, chosen from the 700 found, which were edited by the Blanchard family, to which is added the production of the House Pannier with its 300 models. These two publishers of pious images reflect, by their diversity and complementarity, the variety of devotional images produced in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
A presentation of pious images of Joan of Arc published in the nineteenth and early twentieth century prepared by the Philatelic Association of Loiret is also available.
Finally, you can discover books in which these models have been used (missal, Roman parish, books of spirituality,…) or have been published by the Blanchard Bookstore.
