The Bourges Museum hosts the exhibition «L'eau, l'expo» designed by the Toulouse Museum from April 15 to November 19, 2023.
This exhibition comprehensively addresses all issues related to water. In a journey that invites the visitor to follow water in all its forms, discover the surprising journey of water from its cosmic birth to its arrival on Earth, its omnipresence in the appearance and evolution of life, its uses, the need to preserve it for future generations. This exhibition addresses, with interactive and multimedia devices, the following 3 main themes Water and life Water and men Water and society
This exhibition will be accompanied by collections from the museum, museums and libraries of Bourges. The exhibition will be completed by a mini-exhibition focus on the missions of SIVY, Syndicat Intercommunal de la Vallée de l'Yèvre. Finally, the museum takes advantage of the exhibition «L'eau l'expo» to present one of its areas of research totally unknown to the general public: the study of freshwater mussels. To note is exhibited the gift of the work «La Baleirienne» realized by G'Dal Gilles Gabry at the museum of Bourges.
