Come and discover the dam of the new Poutès, an innovation!
The Nouveau Poutès hydroelectric dam located on the Allier in Haute-Loire is one of the 3 dams that supply the Monistrol-d'Allier power plant. This new Poutès is the result of a work of co-construction with local actors and it allows since 2022, a better circulation of migratory fish (especially salmon) thanks to a technical prowess, the circulation of sediments and the conservation of the production of the first renewable energy, hydroelectricity.
