You will discover the history and mysteries of the construction of this stone giant that has stood in the countryside of Lyon for more than 2000 years.
The Aqueduct of Gier was one of the aqueducts used to supply Lugdunum water. Collecting water from the Gier in Saint-Chamond, it carried water for 86 km to Fourvière. Several remains are still visible today, including the communes of Brignais and Chaponost. The Site du Plat de l'Air where you can admire the remains of the Yzeron siphon is a classified site and very well preserved.
