Sunday 17 September from 15h to 17h, a guided tour of the Royal Domain of Randan bilingual French and LSF (French Sign Language) is offered in partnership with diXit Interpretation.
During the visit, you will discover the history of the owner of the site, Adelaide d'Orléans, sister of the French king, Louis-Philippe 1st. You will visit the remains of the castle, its greenhouses, its orangery, its chapel, its kitchens and its park.
Then, you will discover the unique collection in Europe of animals hunted by Ferdinand d'Orléans and staged in dioramas by the famous London taxidermist Rowland Ward.

Holiday created from 1821 for Louis-Philippe d' Orléans, future king of French people, and his sister Adelaide of Orléans. In a romantic park of 100ha, the vestiges of the castle, the wing of cookings(kitchens), the chapel, the orangery and dependences(outbuildings) manifest technological innovations of the first half of the XIXth century and the everyday life of the family of Orléans, owner of the place until 1958\.
