About the location

Chapelle de Salières
1555 route de l'Abbaye 26150 Die
  • Drôme
  • Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
This chapel was connected to the former thermo-resinous establishments of Salières-les-bains, opened from 1852 to 1972, and probably the last in France to have closed. Long inaccessible to the public (dangerous ruin located on private property), it is the subject of a restoration project supported by the Drôme department and the Société de Sauvegarde des Monuments Anciens de la Drôme. It will be open to the public for the first time during the 2023 heritage days, which will allow visitors to discover the building still under construction, but also to enjoy the beautiful view.
