Claude Bernard, born on July 12th, 1813 to Saint Julien and died on February 10th, 1878 in Paris, is a researcher and physiologist. Founder of experimental medicine, he is considered as the father of modern medicine. He(It) makes the majority of his(its) studies and researches(searches) in Paris but returns every year in his(its) native village of Beaujolais to recharge batteries. The Claude Bernard museum suggests making discover the man who hides behind the scientist, his route(course) surprising, his family, his collaborators. The museum also invites to understand(include) the importance of the discoveries of Claude Bernard, and their stakes in Europe of the XIXth century, carried by revolutions and scientific innovations. As part of Heritage Days, the native house will be unusually opened. Visit will allow to know the man better in his intimate life across furniture and period pieces. Garden, sported park, vineyards(vines) and mounts surroundings allow to extend the discovery in a bucolic executive(frame).
