Since 2016, the Chappe brothers' public school has pursued a utopian goal: to transform the school into a museum of contemporary art. This priority education school welcomes 500 students from the Little Section to the fifth grade.
In order to raise students' awareness of art, teachers invite artists of international renown to invest the places to make explicit the process of artistic creation. The students develop together a real artistic culture and draw inspiration from these discoveries to create in their turn. These works are also a great medium for reflecting, interpreting, debating and thinking about the world.
Ememem, 171 Canons, Liu Bolin, Obey, Jef Aerosol, Jérôme Mesnager, Rero, Ella & Pitr, Tania Mouraud, Kouka, Nelio, Totipote, Federica de Ruvo, Oak Oak, Mademoiselle Maurice, MP5, Erell, Cap Phi, Don Mateo, Zabou, Biancoshock, Big Ben, Bulbe, ... there are more than 30 artists to have invested the walls of the school since 2016.
The route will allow visitors to discover nearly 90 works (including a dozen made in 2022), video spaces, exhibitions of student works. Students will offer visitors a guided tour of the school-museum!
