The Saint-Paul and Saint-Joseph prisons were built next to each other in the 19th century in Lyon south of Perrache station. Disused since 2009, they were rehabilitated by UCLy and inaugurated in 2015. As Victor Hugo said, "opening a school is closing a prison". The Catholic University of Lyon, founded in 1875, chose to invest the site and create a campus open to the city and the world. Through this film, we see that, if the first challenge was architectural, it is above all an ambitious project humanly, culturally and intellectually.
