Canson and Montgolfier Stationery Museum
Housed in the birthplace of the Montgolfier brothers, inventors of the aerostat, whose various souvenirs are exhibited, the museum is in the heart of the former Royal Manufacture and in a beautiful natural setting, on the edge of the Via Fluvia. The only museum to present an animated "life-size" paper machine, it allows everyone to follow in the footsteps of the papermakers of yesteryear. During the guided tour, we witness the production of a sheet of paper by hand, its printing; model and machines start up and reconstitute the sound environment. More than ten rooms revive stationery, its history, techniques, social life, the inventive genius of the Montgolfier and Canson, not to mention Marc Seguin. Papermaking laboratory, commercial office of 1900 with its employee, nothing is missing and whoever wishes can complete his information with videos. Temporary exhibition "60 years of French space adventures".
