Guided tours on Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm. The Chappe telegraph is a means of fast optical communication over long distances developed by Claude Chappe and his brothers in 1794. This first visual communication system covered all of France with 534 posts. The Etoile site is on the Paris-Lyon-Toulon line. Currently 15 stations are rehabilitated including that of Etoile, inaugurated in 2010. Inside, an exhibition presents the life of the Chappe brothers and illustrates the development of this network. The Chappe telegraph was a means of communication developed by Claude Chappe in 1793\. It was used to transmit signals with a wooden articulated arm several meters high. In 2014, the Chappe telegraph was inaugurated in the presence of the municipality, Jeunesse et Reconstruction, the MJC, the APER and other supporters. It took about five years for this "shed" invaded by vegetation to regain its former physiognomy. It all began with a search of the sheds of the commune, a research on the history of the telegraph, a dedicated exhibition on the subject with the participation of passionate people. These various actions carried out by members of the APER have made it possible to raise awareness among local authorities. After a lot of sweat and the very active help of the youth of the MJC and the international youth of Youth and Reconstruction the building was renovated. Meanwhile the members of the APER have rebuilt as originally the mechanism that once allowed the transmission of signals.
