Nestled in the mountains between Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey, Kurdistan remains a mythical territory, without recognized borders, and the Kurds a stateless nation. Of these four countries, only two officially recognize a region under the name of «Kurdistan»: Iran with its province of Kurdistan and Iraq with its autonomous region of Kurdistan. Crossing the roads of this mountainous region and the highlands of West Asia, Maxime Crozet went to meet the people of the borders, at the crossroads of the Turkish, Persian and Arab worlds. And fate at once heroic and tragic. Snapshots of travel to a country that does not exist.
