As an artistic movement meaning «images of the floating world», Ukiyo-e relies on the idealization of representation, shapes and colors to give an almost dreamlike vision of the world. Passionate about Asian arts, Marcel Sahut has gathered in his collection the biggest names in Japanese engraving including Hokusai, Hiroshige and Eisen. The Ukiyo-e exhibition presents for the first time the entirety of this fund, enriched by loans from public and private collections.
