The property dates from the 15th century. In 1551, Henri Roux de Chevrier owns it, hence the name Mas de Roux. On February 14, 1597, Claude Laurens, royal notary in Lyon became owner and in July 1652, Jean Terrassson and Pierre Druet acquired the estate. On September 20, 1683, the Gelas de Beynost family became owner and then Joseph Prost on December 13, 1719\. In 1853, the Mas de Roux was sold to Jean-Baptiste Juffet, a pharmacist in Lyon. Then the house was ceded to the Rencurel family and in 1891 to Pierre Jugnet (industrial Lyonnais). On March 18, 1922, the Sisters of Mary Help of Christians bought the Mas du Roux to make it a rest home. Today, it belongs to the municipality. Associations such as the bridge, Memory of yesterday for tomorrow, gymnastics have their premises at the villa. A caretaker and his family live in a party.
