Work in progress on a lava bust of Volvic, representing the Count of Chabrol de Volvic (1773-1843), fervent supporter of the export of Volvicoise lava in the capital as prefect of the Seine from 1812 to 1830.

The Sahut Museum is located in the castle of the Bosredon estate, seat of power of a seigneurial family from the High Middle Ages. The collection of the Sahut Museum is based on the donation of Yvonne and Marcel Sahut to the municipality in 1985\. The painter of Volviccian origin and his wife entrusted Volvic with nearly 2000 works. The Sahut collection reflects the career of a collector painter, Marcel Sahut (1901-1990), an independent artist associated with the École de Paris.
