Oyez, good people, welcome to the universe of Caminaïre! Settle down, open your eyes, uncork the esgourdes and discover our medieval music group. Coming from Languedoc, a land full of history, we play the music that jugglers and troubadours used to peddle. In Occitan, “Caminaire” means the one who walks, who walks. We perform various music and songs from different backgrounds, with the only sound of our instruments and voices. Walking through medieval cities or spreading out over village squares, we animate the streets during the medieval festivities. A parade for the King? Bagpipes and drums resound in the city! A show for the people? The scarves wave and the strings vibrate! An intimate moment in a church? Voices take precedence over instruments. Caminaïre juggles words, rhythms and notes! Come dance with us, we’ll share our passion.
