Discovery of the artist residence Moly-Sabata, its garden and its house, free visit of the contemporary art exhibition Millefleurs
After «Faire essaim» already deployed in the open air in 2021, «Millefleurs» is the new opus of our enthusiasm for the return of bees to Moly-Sabata, awakening the beekeeping activity of the site and generating a new look at our surroundings and their resources. The term directly evokes a profusion of flora, and takes us to a name of honey, and a kind of tapestry. It designates a strategy of ingestion of our surroundings, an experience of the surface, connects the decorative arts and nature, and manifests the impact of any polishing agent that transforms what it gathers. In addition, every time a bee goes out foraging, it returns to the hive after having visited, on average, three kilometres around, a thousand pistils. Let us celebrate the multitude and diversity within our reach.
An exhibition from September 17 to October 30, 2022 with new productions by Héloïse Bariol, Clément Bouteille, Clément Rodzielski and Milène Sanchez realized in residence, loans of works by Marianne Castelly, Kate Newby, Josèfa Ntjam, Dom Robert, Juliette Roche and Claude Viallat, as well as perennial sculptures of the Moly-Sabata Fund according to a curatorial work by Joël Riff in resonance with The Biennale of Lyon 2022. This exhibition is also announced as part of the European Days of Matrimoine Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.
