Board the Côte Bleue train, a panoramic route in the heart of the creeks, then take part in the Miramas Train Festival
Launch of a special train on Saturday 17 from Marseille St Charles, to the Fête du Train organized by the city of Miramas. This train will run on the Côte Bleue railway line with numerous structures (remarkable viaducts/tunnels, etc.) and stations dating from the early 20th century. Comments on the history and heritage of the line will animate the journey.
This coastal line, which celebrated its centenary in 2015, required the construction of 18 viaducts, 2 bridges (including the Caronte swing bridge) and 23 tunnels built between 1907 and 1915. It proposes to discover a rich heritage with several works of art classified in the inventory of 20th century heritage or listed as historical monuments.
The train will arrive in Miramas in full force for the inauguration of the Festival of the Train. More than 50 animations with the theme of the legend of the train and installed around the station will be offered free of charge to visitors.
