Historic Guided Tour
Possibility of a paid guided tour (many times available): enter the world of monks during a guided tour by a member of the Community. By crossing the monastery and listening to the anecdotes of the place, you will also cross the different epochs of the history of this Cistercian abbey of the twelfth century - Foundation, Commende, Revolution, Golden Age, Transfer to the Community of the Way Nine. Soon the abbey will have no secrets for you!
Children can request a survey to be completed throughout the visit. Surprise on arrival for the smartest.
Activities
Many free activities are proposed punctually during the 2 afternoons:
- concerts
- beeswax candle making workshop (for children)
- visits to the vegetable garden and orchard
- Vespers with the community (Saturday 5.30pm)
And along the way you will also find:
- a small museum,
- a stand selling the abbey’s products,
- an exhibition of paintings by local painters,
- a 20 min. video presenting the abbey,
- a beekeeping stand,
- the shop (carterie, CD/DVD, bookshop, monastic crafts)
