"The Black Moon" - Exhibition by Juliette Agnel
The Black Moon, Exhibition by Juliette Agnel
Photographer Juliette Agnel has travelled across Africa, Greenland and Sudan, capturing the secret forces of these extreme landscapes. Using the assemblage of two images, between day and night (The Nocturnes, Taharqa and the night), and the passage to the negative (The Gates of Ice), she transforms the landscape to the borders of reality, at equal distance from the sublime and the strange. The mineral is alive and murmurs the secrets of past centuries; starry skies nimbent humanity with dizzying intensity; ferns rise in majesty. And when light and shadow are reversed, the threshold of an enigmatic mirror-world appears on mysterious icebergs.
