Built on the edge of a limestone plateau, the abbey of Guîtres overlooks the Isle valley. Its construction began in the eleventh century. It contains marvels, including its monumental vaults or a chestnut frame in the shape of an inverted nave dating from the fifteenth and covering the entire nave and the aisles.
