The gold rush near you! The Maison de l'Or in the Limousin, invites you to dive into an epic 2500 years of gold discovery in the region. In the corner «Gaulish discovery» you will observe the crushing of the ore on Gaulish grinding tables. Children will participate in the Little Gaul game, a fun way to share the visit. On arrival, a surprise gift! You can then initiate yourself to the Gaulish minting of money in family (1€).
The Maison de l'or accessible to all offers mediation tools and adapted guided tours: sign language presentation film (LSF), magnetic loops for the guided tour, Braille and FALC tour booklets, relief boards and contrasting colours, audio-description tour, guided tour adapted for the blind and people with mental disabilities
You can then discover the medieval village of Chalard, its church and its cemetery of monks or picnic by the river. A beautiful day in nature!
