The castle is dated in part from the fourteenth century and modeled until the nineteenth century. The painted ceiling, classified in 1959, is in a remarkable state of conservation.
The rectangular plan presents, at the south-west corner, a keep barlong against which comes to bump the east wing, occupied by a single room. On the ground floor, several arches recall the time when the castle had a defensive function in relation to the castle of Pau. On the first floor, the large room retains a painted ceiling. Four master beams divide it into five bays and carry a polychrome decoration (grotesque foliage, garlands with fruits, farandoles of naked women). The joists are also painted with floral motifs. Some 16th-century windows retain their original layout.
