Built at the end of the 18th century for Bishop Jean-Baptiste Duplessis d'Argentré, a few steps from the cathedral, the Episcopal Palace is a masterpiece of neoclassical architecture in Normandy. Owned by the Orne General Council, the palace has been the subject of restoration campaigns, the most recent of which is the development of its gardens, located below the courtyard of honour.
