Mesnières-en-Bray: a village

A castle of the Loire escaped in a village typical of the country of Bray

The guided tour of the Renaissance castle, one at 4pm and the other at 5pm, lasting from 1h to 1h30 allows to visit the heritage rooms and to better know the history of the place and the seven seigneurial families who lived there before it became an orphanage in 1835, then a school. The 4 pm tour continues with the free village tour. Through the streets, alleys, paths and public gardens, we will set off to discover the small built and natural heritage of a village in the Pays de Bray... Allow 1h to 1h30 of visit and 2km of travel. This visit includes a visit to the church of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul of the parish.

The Renaissance Castle of Mesnières-en-Bray is a Loire castle escaped in Normandy and more precisely in the Pays de Bray, the guided tour allows the discovery of the heritage rooms that we owe to the seven seigneurial families who succeeded there. As for the village, it has a small built heritage that is meant to be represented the Country of Bray: peasant houses, wells, dovecote, wash house, bread oven...but also a natural heritage just as rich and characteristic.
