Classified as a historical monument in 1913, the church of Vatteville-la-Rue is placed under the patronage of Saint-Martin de Tours, who gave half of his coat to a poor man at the gates of Amiens. This white stone church consists of a choir and transept in the flamboyant Gothic style of the 15th century, a nave and aisles in the Renaissance style of the 16th century (François I era), a bell tower and a square tower, also of the 16th century. Jewels of Norman art, the stained glass windows testify to a know-how almost unique in France and were classified as Historical Monument in 1908. Finally, unmistakable by their number, the graffiti engraved in the stones of the building in the 16th century by the sailors of the city, represent boats of high sea or cabotage intended for fishing and trade.
