It was in 1686 that the Duchess of Montpensier offered a plot of land to the Chapel of Grace to build a small priory that could accommodate the Capuchin friars, Chaplains of Grace. In 1823, we still see this house on a painting by Rommy. A few years later, the present Presbytery of Grace was built on its site.
