Free visit of the church of Saint-Martin called Saint-Lézin
Visit of the church of Saint-Martin de Blosseville-sur-Mer, famous for its architecture of the 12th and 16th centuries, its furniture (baptismal font, stoup), its statuary and its stained glass windows. It is also known to be decorated every year with ancient tools, agricultural and artisanal, as well as hundreds of bouquets of flax, wheat and oats. The building is currently the subject of a major program of exterior work that led to the deposit of the classified stained glass windows, for restoration. The visit will therefore focus on historical, architectural aspects and the numerous statues of the sixteenth century, on the other hand on the discovery of the tools on display. Several questions are still open about this church, starting with the presence in this place of Saint Lézin, Angevin bishop of the sixth century. Members of the association Blosseville Histoire Vivante will be able to guide visitors and answer their questions.
