Guided tour of a Masonic lodge
Visit of a Masonic Lodge
Since the creation of speculative Freemasonry, the Freemasons, who form the Masonic lodges, have gathered in premises to practice their various rituals, often followed by a banquet.
Initially, the places chosen could be of all kinds, hostel, private house, sometimes even outside. The lodges of that time gathered around a carpet or picture of a lodge placed on the ground, painted on a canvas, or even drawn on a blackboard. This table presented all the symbols of the masonic grade used for the dress.
It is in the course of their development that, little by little, most obediences have built up a real estate heritage that now allows their lodges to meet regularly in permanent premises.
