Château de Crèvecœur
Crèvecoeur-en-Auge, 14340 Mézidon Vallée d'Auge
Established from the XIth century, the castle of Crévecoeur restores in a remarkable way what could be castles with clod in Middle Ages. Its organisation corresponds to a very frequent plan in time(period): An artificial clod, a High Court of Justice, surrounded with staves(moats) and surrounded(identified) with walls. the manorial home dating the XVth century have side of wall rises. The farmyard shelters from buildings(ships) in pan-de-bois entirely restored (the farm, the dovecote, the barn), devoted to craft(home-made) and agricultural activities during the Medieval. The stone chapel of the XIth century with its skeleton in opposite hull of boat as well as its Romance architecture is outstandingly kept(preserved).
