In the thirteenth century, the presence of a market was already attested to at La Ferrière-sur-Risle, even before the construction of the current building, made of oak wood covered with tiles and whose frame rests on three bays separated by pillars. The last restoration campaign of the building, in 2021, made it possible to study the wood cutting of the pillars and the frame, and to date it 1499-1503. This study places, with certainty, the construction of the hall at the beginning of the sixteenth century. Originally longer, it was reduced after 1865 to facilitate traffic in the village.
