Tour Jeanne d'Arc (donjon)
Rue Bouvreuil, 76000 Rouen
The donjon, raising(drawing up) its 35 metres above the ditches(gaps) which surround it is the only still visible(obvious) vestige of the old(former) castle of Rouen built by Philippe Augustus from 1204\. It is in the ground floor that Jeanne d'Arc, locked in the castle, was put in the presence of the instruments of torture.
