Concert: choir and organ
Initiated in choral singing from an early age, Hélène Courtois studied piano, accompaniment, bassoon, singing and choral direction.
First Bassoon Prize and Excellence Prize for Chamber Music from the Conservatoire de Versailles, First Prize for Singing from the Conservatoire de Cachan and holder of the Diplôme d'Etat de Musique, Hélène Courtois teaches musical training at the Maurepas Conservatory where she regularly produces musical tales with direction.
Bassoonist, she plays in orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
At the same time, after singing in vocal ensembles (female and mixed), Hélène Courtois devoted herself to solo singing. She gives recitals with piano, organ or orchestra, in France and abroad.
For several years, Hélène Courtois has also directed various choral groups in the Paris region: children’s choirs, adult company choirs, and "Les Chemins de la Voix" opera choir.
Since October 2004, Hélène Courtois has been the artistic and musical director of the François Vercken Choir with rigour, energy and enthusiasm. She contributes for the greatest pleasure of the chorus singers to the festive atmosphere of the choir, bringing all her good humor, simplicity and spirit.
