Saint-Louis Cathedral owes its name to Louis IX King of France, patron saint of the parish at the time of construction in 1667.
Today, the cathedral of Fort-de-France, can be proud of its last adornment drawn in the 19th century by the architect Henri Picq.
The neo-gothic style gives it an elegant, light and luminous silhouette, decorated with its 19 stained glass windows. But not that! A carved wooden pulpit, a precious marble communion table, a cathedra, not forgetting the huge 58.8-metre-high spire overlooking the cathedral.
