The Canadian Cultural Centre is participating in the European Heritage Days on September 17 and 18, 2022! On the program:
Come and visit our exhibition “The Art of Living. On Immigration, Community and the Migration of Symbols” with artists Jude Abu Zaineh, Soheila Esfahani and Xiaojing Yan!

Opening of the Canadian Cultural Centre from 12pm to 6pm (last entry at 5:30pm)
Guided tours on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, at 12:30, 14:00 and 16:00

“Unknown to each other, from distant lands, Xiaojing Yan, Jude Abu Zaineh and Soheila Esfahani are gathered for the first time. They have in common this always strange feeling of living in an in-between, not quite anchored, or even suspended between two worlds, attached to symbols of belonging to their original culture which they nevertheless divert. Jules Léger, Ambassador of Canada to France, had the first idea of creating a Canadian Cultural Centre in France in order to discover the richness of the diversity of Canadian culture and thus strengthen the bonds of friendship between Canada and France. The Canadian Cultural Centre officially opened on April 2, 1970 and has been promoting Canadian culture in France for nearly half a century.
First established on the Esplanade des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, the Centre moved in spring 2018 to 130 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th arrondissement of Paris in a postHaussmannian rehabilitated by Canadian and French architects Julian Smith and Jean-Paul Viguier. Integrated into the Embassy of Canada, it is in this unique setting that privileged artistic encounters between Canada and France come to life.
As the heart of Canada’s cultural diplomacy in France, the Canadian Cultural Centre’s mission is to promote the most innovative contemporary Canadian creation, across
