Chevreuse settled a thousand years ago between a castle and the Yvette river, near an abbey. A commercial and industrial crossroads in the Middle Ages, the city has kept many traces of this past. The church of Saint Martin of the Middle Ages was enlarged in the sixteenth century, with beautiful stained glass windows. Leaflets and an audioguide detail the important heritage of the church and recall the history of the city.
