Commented visit of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in France
The Embassy of the State of Qatar in France opens its doors to the public on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
Come and discover the historic lounges of the Landolfo-Carcano Hotel, which since 2007 houses the headquarters of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the French Republic. The visit of the monument ends with an exhibition of the models of the 8 stadiums of the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Located on the Place de l'Etoile opposite the Arc de Triomphe, designed by architects Jacques Ignace Hittorff and Charles Rohault de Fleury and completed in 1867, the hotel was classified in 1976 as a historical monument.
Built during the Second Empire for Anne-Marie Adèle Caussin, known as «Madame de Cassin», the hotel bears the name of the Marquis Landolfo Carcano whom Madame de Cassin married in 1889. The building reflects the architectural eclecticism and decorative richness of the time.
