The work of a disciple of Le Corbusier, André Wogenscky, the prefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine, tower of 113 meters high, alloy of concrete, glass and aluminum, is the reflection of a typical architecture of the 1970s. During the design, the user was at the center of the architect’s concerns. André Wogenscky wanted to create a functional building, while affirming the importance of aesthetics. 40 years after its construction, the building has stood the test of time, with some redevelopments over the years needed to adapt to new needs. Partnerships with the National Plastic Arts Centre in 2013 and with National Furniture in 2014 have helped to enhance the spaces that welcome our audiences. Thus since June 2014, the Mobilier national has made available pieces of furniture and works of art representative of the artistic creation of the 1970s.
