Madness raised originally on the Champs-Élysées in 1778-1779 by the architect Le Boursier for Thiroux de Montsauge, then managing director of the Postings, the Hotel de Massa, classified in the inventory of historical monuments, was dismantled and rebuilt stone by stone in the shadow of the Paris Observatory between 1927 and 1928. The Art Deco furniture designed in 1929 by Maurice Dufrène, the director of the Maîtrise des Galeries Lafayette, to furnish this mansion, is also classified.
