History & gourmet nature in Saint-Prix
Plaine Vallée Tourisme offers you a discovery route of the Haut-Bourg with the help of a digital tablet that geolocates your location and indicates the points of interest not to be missed to fully enjoy your visit alone, with family or friends...
«Do you know, on the hill that joins Montlignon to Saint-Leu, a terrace that slopes between a dark wood and the blue sky?». This is how Victor Hugo spoke of Saint-Prix in his collection of poems «Les Contemplations». Perched on the hillside on the edge of the Montmorency Forest, the village of Saint-Prix is rich in history and nature.
Like Victor Hugo, Edmond Rostand, the Goncourt brothers and the interior designers Charles-Philipe Larivière and Albert Maignan stayed or lived in Saint-Prix, in what now represents the Haut Bourg, on the edge of the forest.
Discover this heritage during a walk at your own pace. The tablet shows you the path to take and reveals the history of the place. You will also discover the rural identity and the preserved terroir of the city, producing grapes, apples and honey.
A tasting of Saint-Prix apple juice will be offered at the end of your tour.
