Conference followed by a personalized site visit

The purpose of the association Histoire et Vies du 10th is to promote the history of the 10th district of Paris and the lives of its inhabitants, to ensure the preservation of its heritage and its memory.
They will organize, in partnership with the media library, a conference on the history of the Carré Saint Lazare at 3:30 pm, hosted by Ms.Daguillon, a member of the association since its inception and Mr.Cabestan, architecture historian and heritage architect, Lecturer at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University Paris, will then accompany you for a guided tour of the premises at 5 pm.

The Françoise-Sagan media library joins an emblematic place of Parisian history(story), Square Saint-Lazare, which exists for the XIIth century. First leper hospital then Congregation of the Mission of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, he(it) is transformed into place of detention under Revolution, then into prison-hospital for women at the beginning of the XIXth century. The current building(ship) is what stays of the hospital established in the XIXth century by Louis-Pierre Baltard.
