Crafts and industrialization in Sucy
The Sucy-en-Brie Historical and Archaeological Society is presenting at the Orangerie of the Château de Sucy its annual exhibition on "Crafts and Industrialization in Sucy". There will be evoked the proto-craftsmen who left a treasure of points and arrows at Fort de Sucy, the building trades that contributed to the transformation of the city, with the help of the shipyards, carpenters and woodcutters, bakers and butchers of the old times, the fashion trades and industrialization in the twentieth century, represented by Saint-Gobain, the gas plant, the RATP workshops, the Amboile mill and the recent companies installed in the Petits Carreaux area. A round table led by professionals will illustrate the activity of some Sucycian artisans.
