At the end of the XVIIth century, one decided on him(it) to create a new cemetery except the city in the location of maladrerie old(former), the cemetery of Madeleine. The cemetery of Madeleine was put into service in 1817\. Dales and coteaux of the site allowed to the architect of the city of Amiens, François-Augustus Cheussey, to realise an English-style park where alternate plains, sported spaces, gone and graves among which some are real mausoleums.
